So today in this article we will talk about one of the most prestigious exams which can help the aspirants to get a prestigious job. Yes, you are right, I am talking about the SSC exam. Before starting this article I want to mention that I am also an aspirant of the SSC exam and I have given this exam three times. So today I will share my experience so that new aspirants can take the benefits.

Firstly we have to know about what ssc is? SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission. It is a government body which conducts various national level exams such as SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS, CPO etc. It recruits various group B and C posts in different central government ministries and departments.
How to Start Preparation for SSC Exam
Do you ever think why SSC exams are popular for government jobs? Because it offers various prestigious posts with a better salary and lifestyle. Another one of the most important points is that SSC maintains its consistency by releasing its recruitment notification every year with good numbers of vacancies.
Understand the SSC Exam You Are Targeting
As I mentioned earlier, ssc is just a govt organisation which conducts various exams. So it is very important to know which exam you are targeting. SSC conducts the exam like SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS, CPO, GD, stenographer, junior engineers, junior hindi translators etc. Therefore it is your choice which exam you are targeting. Among this exam few are for class 10th pass candidates, few are for class 12th pass candidates, few are for graduate candidates. So candidates have to choose the exam which he/she wants to give according to his/her eligibility criteria.
Study the syllabus carefully
Before starting the preparation candidates should read the syllabus of the exam which they are targeting carefully. Because there are thousands of things which are required but we have to read the limited things according to the syllabus. Therefore understanding the syllabus is the key to success. Candidates should be aware which topic they have to read and which topic they have to skip. Therefore every candidate is advised to read the syllabus from the notification properly and make the study plan according to it.
Make a Proper Study Plan
After understanding the syllabus, candidates need to prepare their proper study plan. Candidates have to figure out the topic from which they have started their journey, which topics are easy to understand, which are tough etc. In the ssc exam there are mostly four sections such as quantitative aptitude, General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning and English Comprehension. Choose the Right Study Materials
SSC Preparation Strategy for Beginners: Now it's time to choose the right study material to boost the preparation. Remember the study material should be limited so that you can complete the full syllabus. Nowadays various free study materials are available on the internet. But if you are a beginner i will advise you to join any coaching centre. If you can afford i will say to join the offline coaching centre but if you can't afford i will recommend to join the online coaching centre. For ssc exam preparation there are various reputed and cheap online coaching centers. I also joined the online coaching center for SSC CGL preparation.
I will suggest some books and YouTube channels which can help you on this SSC journey.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Kiran Publication SSC mathematics previous year book or Pinnacle SSC maths and one important book which will help you in this journey is Math Formula book by Aditya Ranjan sir.
- General Awareness: For general awareness I will suggest reading current affairs, and the Lucent’s gk book. If possible try to read the NCERT books.
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: Kiran publication SSC reasoning previous year book or pinnacle publication previous year book is enough.
- English Comprehension: For English I will suggest a Neetu Singh mam book for grammar concepts and one of the previous year books for practicing. Like kiran publication or pinnacle publication.

Practice Previous Year Question Papers & Attempt Mock Tests
Aspirants are advised to practice the previous year questions paper as much as possible. Through solving the previous year questions you will understand the questions types and their difficulty level. With the previous year questions paper candidates are also recommended to attempt the mock test to overcome the fear. The mock test will also teach you the art of solving the questions within the time limit. Try to give the mock test daily if possible and also analyze the mistake after giving the mock test. For mock tests I will always recommend you to choose the Testbook platform.
There are many other factors like time management, revisions etc. but you will learn these things by practicing. However I always recommend that you keep the limited study materials but revise your notes a lot. Candidates are also advised not to switch the books frequently. Take one book for each section and try to finish it. Many aspirants ask if SSC is tough to clear? I will say no it is not tough if you give time on it and study hard and maintain consistency.
